Scholarships

Larry Chapman Award

Awarded to domestic Victoria College students who achieve excellence in their studies, with preference given to students whose studies are focused in commerce, business, economics or law. In addition, preference will be given to students who have a strong history of co-curricular activity and who demonstrate impact in their respective communities

Larry Davies Award for Public Service in Canada

To encourage Victoria College students to involve themselves in public and community service in Canada. This award will support students whose participation demonstrates practical and direct benefits to individuals and/or communities in Canada. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate financial need. Past recipients have been involved in bringing music and lessons to children in hospital; assisting Somalian refugees to host cultural events and connect families with community services; and supporting academic co-curricular outreach programs. An application is required. Funds may be used, for example, to assist with travel costs to remote communities, to offset expenses, or living costs necessary to allow time for community service work. LAS Undergraduate Research Award

Awarded to a student enrolled in a third year of a Latin American Studies program (Major or Minor) for field research during the Summer session to complete a research project on issues concerning Latin America or its diasporas. Other information: Preference will be given to students who have not previously received other travel awards from the Department of Spanish & Portuguese, and to students who are enrolled in the St. George campus.

Laszlo Miklos Kindler Scholarship

To be awarded to an incoming medical student on the basis of academic excellence. Preference will be given to a student with a demonstrated interest in the study of philosophy.

Later Life Learning OSOTF Award

To be awarded to Innis College undergraduate degree students in the Faculty of Arts and Science (FAS) for outstanding academic performance and financial need. Students with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 3.70 as they pass their 5th, 10th & 15th credit completed in the FAS will be considered. To receive the award, recipients must register at Innis College in the subsequent Fall/Winter academic session.

Later Life Learning Scholarship

To be awarded to Innis College undergraduate degree students in the Faculty of Arts and Science (FAS) for outstanding academic performance.
