Scholarships

Awarded either to a full or part-time student enrolled in a program offered by the Department of East Asian Studies who intends to continue his/her education at a University in China or a Chinese student resident in China who intends to continue his/her education in the Department of East Asian Studies at the University of Toronto. Selection will be based on academic merit and will include an assessment of the candidate's ability to derive optimal benefit from the experience. Please contact the Department for an application.

The Tom and Rose Di Giacomo Bursary awards an undergraduate student at the University of St. Michael's College who demonstrates financial need, with priority given to new Canadians.

Tom Chin passed away suddenly in 2009, and is remembered for his many significant contributions to the pharmacy profession through his involvement in clinical practice, teaching, research and management. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from the Faculty of Pharmacy in 1977 and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota in 1980. The following year, Tom completed a one-year Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As an educator, Tom was always extremely dedicated to teaching, and he contributed to the learning of many practitioners, undergraduate pharmacy students, pharmacy residents, PharmD students and medical students

Requirements: Awarded to undergraduate or graduate students in computer science. The award will be based on financial need and will also take academic merit into account.

This award was established by members of the class of 1989, family and friends of Tom Lykos to honour his memory. Tom died (in 1987) while in the second year of the program. The monetary award is given to a student entering first year that shows outstanding academic ability. First awarded in 1989.

Awarded to the oustanding student entering the final year of the Major or Specialist Programme in Anthropology.

To be awarded to (a) Full time, undergraduate student(s) in the Faculty of Dentistry on the basis of financial need.

To be awarded to one or more second and third year JD students who demonstrate financial need. Preference for students participating in the Faculty's legal clinics and/or who work to create bridges between communities inside and outside the law school.

To be awarded to students with the highest mark in the Introduction to Criminal Justice course.

To be awarded to a second and third year student engaged in Full time studies at the Faculty of Law who has demonstrated financial need, high academic achievement, and involvement in community or university service.
