Scholarships

The University of Toronto has established the Iranian Student Memorial Scholarship Fund in honour of those who lost their lives in the crash of Ukrainian International Airlines Flight PS752, including eight members of the University of Toronto community. The Iranian Student Memorial Scholarship provides needs-based award(s) to international students from Iran (admitted to the U of T) or Current students U of T students, from any background, studying Iranian studies.

Awarded to a third or fourth year student (or entering third or fourth year) in a program offered by the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology who has expressed interest in field work and who has taken an EEB field course. This award may only be held once. Awarded on the basis of financial need. Academic merit will also be considered

To be awarded as bursaries on the basis of financial need. Financial aid applications will be available in August.

Jennifer Houwer (Kadwell) received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy in 2011. She determinedly battled Hodgkin's lymphoma throughout most of her studies, and passed away in October 2012. Holly Pietowski (MacDonald) was pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree when she passed away in August 2011. Family and friends of Jennifer and Holly established the Jennifer Houwer (Kadwell) and Holly Pietowski (MacDonald) Memorial Award in their memory. It will be awarded to one student in the Doctor of Pharmacy program who demonstrates exceptional vision and outstanding leadership through volunteer service to the community (outside of the Faculty, but within the University), has played on at least one intramural sports team and has a cumulative GPA of 2.7. Students are only eligible to receive this award once.

Awarded to Victoria College students with financial need.

Awarded to Victoria College students who have achieved overall A standing.

To be awarded to (a) Full time, undergraduate student(s) at the Faculty of Law on the basis of financial need. Preference will be given to third-year students who have demonstrated academic excellence in corporate and income tax law in their second year.

To be awarded to Victoria College students who achieve excellence during the course of their studies in Third Year.

Awarded to a Full time student entering the final year of the BScN program who has: 1) high academic achievement in courses related to community health nursing; 2) demonstrated strong community practice skills; 3) strong interest in pursuing a career in community health nursing

This award was established in honour of June Surgey, past Director of University College Alumni & Development, to assist University College students who have financial need to live in residence. Apply using the online grant application available on ACORN.
