Scholarships

Scholarships are typically awarded based on academic or other achievements and do not require repayment, making them a valuable resource for students seeking financial support for their education.

Janet A Fraser Bursary Fund UTAPS

This award is disbursed as part of the University of Toronto Financial Aid (UTAPS program). To be awarded on the basis of financial need. Students of all faculties, colleges and schools are eligible for this bursary

Janet and Paul Morrison Bursary

Janet Beck Award in Theatre and Drama

Awarded to a UTM student enrolled in the Theatre and Drama Studies Program on the basis of financial need. Academic merit will also be considered.

Janet Campbell-Booth Scholarship

Awarded to a graduating UTM student, completing either a major or specialist in Geography, on the basis of financial need. Academic merit and an interest in pursuing graduate studies in geography may also be considered. Faculty members from the Geography department at UTM may be consulted in selecting a recipient.

Janet Elizabeth Faulds Award

"Established by the estate of Janet Faulds, this needs-based award was created to help undergraduate students who need a hand, getting them started or enabling them to continue their post-secondary education. Students may apply for this award and/or candidates can be nominated by high school teachers or principals. Candidates may also be identified by the USMC Registrar's office and/or by faculty members and staff members of the University of St. Michael's College."

Janet Elizabeth Macdonald Scholarship in Cinema Studies I

Awarded to a student who has completed First Year with overall A standing who obtains the highest standing in the initial course in Cinema Studies, CIN105Y (Introduction to Film Study).

Janet Jarrett Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to the female student who at the end of her First Year in Full time study (5.0 courses) has obtained the highest standing among residents of Annesley Hall, and who undertakes to live in Annesley Hall in her Second Year.

Janet Tupper Underwood Award UTAPS

Janice Lawrie Memorial Bursary

This award has been established by the friends and family of Janice Lawrie (Class of 8T9) in memory of her dedication to the profession. The bursary will be given to a student in Third or Fourth Year of the Doctor of Pharmacy program, who is from the Barrie/Orillia area, and who demonstrates financial need. Information on application procedures will be provided to Doctor of Pharmacy students via e-mail in late September.

Japan Archeology Travel Award

Awarded to UTM students with high academic standing in at least eight courses, which must include at least two courses in Anthropology and who have demonstrated interest in archaeology fieldwork. Some Japanese language skills considered an asset.
