Scholarships

They differ from grants and bursaries in terms of eligibility, application process, and coverage. Scholarships are typically awarded based on academic or other achievements and do not require repayment, making them a valuable resource for students seeking financial support for their education.

Ken Dryden Achievement Award

To be awarded to one or more undergraduate students on the basis of financial need. Preference will be given to students demonstrating high academic achievement who were/are crown wards or have lived in foster or group homes. Recipient must meet OSOTF guideline.

Ken Karpiak Memorial Scholarship

Awarded on the basis of the strength of the applicant's submission, reviewed by the Faculty's Awards Committee.

Ken Parsons & Enrico Rota Award

Current students

To be awarded to students who have at least five credits with a CGPA of at least 3.5. Preference will be given to students studying in the Humanities with a focus on Italian Renaissance language, culture and history.

Ken Sevcik Bursary in Computer Science

Requirements: Financial need must be considered, academic merit will also be considered. Awarded to students in a Specialist or Major Program in Computer Science

Kendrick Gold Medal

Current students

Awarded to the graduating student with highest overall A standing who has completed a Specialist Program or two Major Programs in Basic Medical Sciences. If the Prince Philip Gold Medal is awarded to a candidate for this program(s), this medal is awarded to the candidate with the second highest A standing.

Kenneth A. Selby Scholarship in Construction Engineering in the Department of Civil Engineering

Awarded to a student proceeding to Fourth Year of Civil Engineering on the basis of financial need. Academic achievement in the program and particular ability and creativity in the field of construction engineering-related courses will also be considered. The recipient is expected to continue his/her studies in construction engineering in the Fourth Year of the program.

Kenneth and Helen Bray Scholarship

To be awarded to an outstanding 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year student in the Music Education program who demonstrates a high level of musicianship and teaching ability. Preference is given to a Canadian citizen who shows a strong interest in teaching in Canadian schools. Must demonstrate financial need.

Kenneth Au-Yeung Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to a student entering first year in the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering, Computer Engineering program on the basis of financial need and academic achievement, supported by a demonstrated commitment to Community Service.

Kenneth Carless Smith Award in Engineering Science

Awarded to one or more students completing Second or Third Year of Engineering Science on the basis of financial need and who demonstrate an interest and aptitude in the area of electronics. Interest and aptitude in electronics may be shown by strong performance in appropriate courses and/or research and design projects
