Scholarships are typically awarded based on academic or other achievements and do not require repayment, making them a valuable resource for students seeking financial support for their education.

Lawrence P Haber Award in Political Science and Philosophy UTAPS

This award is disbursed as part of the University of Toronto Financial Aid (UTAPS program). To be awarded to (a) Full time, undergraduate student(s) at the University of Toronto Scarborough enrolled in Political Science or Philosophy on the basis of financial need.

Lawrence Stern Memorial Fund

Awarded to support live, virtual, or livestreamed theatre attendance by students in the first year of the Theatre and Drama Studies Specialist Program at UTM. Each student may submit one theatre ticket or price of admission (electronic or hard copy) per academic year for reimbursement, up to a value $50. Transportation costs to the theatre venue can be included in the $50 total.

Lee and Elsie Wilson Memorial Bursary

Bursary fund open to undergraduate students at University College who are entering or continuing studies in political science and/or economics. The recipients of the bursaries will be selected based on the demonstration of financial need. Awards will be made at the discretion of the Registrar. Leigh-McNeil Taboika Spirit of Godiva Award

Awarded annually to 2 undergraduate students who demonstrate exceptional SkuleTM Spirit and have contributed to building a sense of community within the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering through extra-curricular, co-curricular and/or volunteer activities at SkuleTM. Outgoing PEY Co-op students may be considered for this award. Academic standing may also be considered

Leigha Lee Browne Scholarship in Drama

Awarded to a student displaying outstanding ability in the dramatic arts who is either continuing in a drama program at University of Toronto Scarborough or is graduating and has registered in an advanced training program in the dramatic arts.

Lenczner Slaght Advocacy Internship

To be awarded to a Full time, undergraduate student at the Faculty of Law who has completed at least one year of law school. The intern will receive $10,000 towards their summer placement.

Leo Weksler Award

Leo Weksler graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto in 1956. As the son of hard-working immigrants, of very modest means, Leo was the first in his family to go to University. He was always grateful to the profession of pharmacy as it gave him the means to assist his family, even while he was a student working in drug stores. The Leo Weksler Award will be presented to a deserving Doctor of Pharmacy student in Year 1, 2 or 3 who holds a position on the Executive Team of the Imagine Clinic, has participated in one additional pharmacy club in the same academic year, and has achieved a minimum of Second Class Honours. Students are only eligible to receive this award once

Leon C. Bynoe Memorial Scholarship

To be awarded on the basis of financial need and academic achievement to a student registered Full time in an undergraduate degree program in any College or Faculty. Preference will be given to candidates from the Afro-Canadian community and MTHA residents. Candidates must demonstrate outstanding service to the Afro-Canadian community.
